whacky ! dat was my first expression ! first over three wickets and only one run ! Gaurav changed the whole match just in an over ! and METAPUPS, their wickets were flyin like Tin-Pins !
and ADIL what a shame ! first ball ! out ! IKON Hunh !
but griffins i was expectin quick finish and u took it to 12 over ! very LS ! next time play like t-20 not a test match.

surely griffins played well. gaurav a classic spell on the first match of the inaugural MPL. being a metacubs supporter it was really disheartening to see wickets tumbling at every ball. I thought match was over after the first over when the hard hitters of the team were in their dougouts. But Pups which came back as CUBS showed why they are CUBS and pulled the match to the last over. Looks like a great start to MPL. And Ninad you showed a great sportman spirit congratulating gaurav for his excellent spell, i am sure your team will get better results next time. All the best.
Great effort Griffins!!
With Gaurav being the hero, I also see a great team effort in this victory. Gaurav and other bowlers were supported by some excellent field work, Manish converted three catches behind the wicket, Vinay took two catches and over all a tight fielding by the Griffins. In bowling Bhawani took three wickets and James also bowled a good spell.
Well in batting I would say its not MetaPups who performed well, but its Griffins who under estimated target and were loose. I observed team shouting(for batsman) to stay on crease rather than to force the balls to singles and double. Manish played some strokes and winning run but overall Griffins batting was a bore and what majority of Griffins were trying to do was to survive at the crease.
And by any chance if it came to run rate... Griffins will really suffer because of their todays loose performance. So all they need know is compulsory victory in their next match, else they will be out of MPL.
I expected MetaCubs to win...but they came out as MetaPups.
luck was not there for metacubs...otherwise its a good team

If Adil and co can win next match, and Gaurav and co loose next match, it will come down to net runrates. Gaurav and co can suffer there, as they had to score 6 runs in 5 overs, and they managed to do that in 4 overs and 3 balls. They could do a world of good to their chances if they won in 7th-8th Over.
